Page Setup and Printing
Page Setup gives you the option to specify how a map or graph is printed by your printer. The Settings pop-up menu enables you to save a specific orientation and paper size for a specific printer. You can format these settings for any printer your computer will recognize.
To format for a specific printer:
- Choose File > Page Setup...
- Click the pop-up menu for "Format for:"
- Choose your desired printer
- Click OK
To choose an orientation:
- Choose File > Page Setup...
- Click on the icon representing the desired layout. The first icon is portrait, the middle icon is landscape with binding on the bottom of the page, and the last icon is landscape with binding on the top of the page.
- Click OK
To change the paper size:
- Choose File > Page Setup...
- Click on the pop-up menu for "Paper Size:"
- Choose your desired paper size
- Click OK
To save any of these settings:
- Choose File > Page Setup...
- Click on the pop-up menu for "Settings:"
- Choose "Save As Default"
- Click OK
Unless you choose otherwise, maps and graphs you create are formatted for your default printer.
To select a printer:
- Choose File > Print
- Select a printer from the Printer pop-up menu. If the printer you want is not listed, use the Print Center to add it to the Printer List. See the Mac OS X onscreen help for more information about adding a printer.
- Click Print
Note: To choose a default printer, open Print Center, select a printer, and choose Make Default from the Printers menu. See the Mac OS X onscreen help for more information about choosing a default printer.
