Question 6.  Look at the radar echoes between 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. What is the general motion of the echoes? Do any of the storms move in a different direction from the overall motion?

Answer.  The general flow is west to east. However, individual storm movements deviate from this general flow due to mesoscale processes and conditions. The northern and southern storms are tracking to east and southeast where the better moisture is. The storm in the middle tracks to the northwest since splitting from the southern right moving storm.
