Question 3. What happens to the reflectivity feature between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m.? What else happens in the radar data between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m.?

Answer. The feature appears to diminish between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. The feature does not diminish as the radar switches from Clear Air Mode to Precipitation Mode (because convective cells are present). The radar is more sensitive in Clear Air Mode and can pick up boundaries such as drylines more easily than Precipitation Mode. The thin line appears weaker, but the dryline maintains its intensity (only known from Mesonet data).
