Question 3. Look at the Mesonet data plots (solar radiation, dew point, temperature, and winds) at 4:00 p.m. What is occuring between Ardmore and Chickasha?

Answer. The surface winds between Ardmore and Chickasha shifted from southerly to southeasterly. This wind shift tapped into an abundant supply of surface moisture (dew points above 68°F). Accordingly, the dew point and the cloud cover increased between Ardmore and Chickasha. Because of the increased cloud cover, surface heating did not occur as quickly, so temperatures were cooler.
