Question 5. Look at the Oklahoma City radar reflectivity between 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. What happens to the Moore storm and why?

Answer. At 7:30 p.m., the Moore storm was a very powerful and dangerous storm, but over the next two hours, it dissipated. The dissipation occurred because a second storm in southern Cleveland county developed and intensified. This second storm moved on a parallel track as as the Moore storm with approximately the same speed. Since the second storm remained directly south of the Moore storm, it blocked the Moore storm from accessing a moisture supply. Without this fuel, the Moore storm could no longer sustain itself, and dissipated.
