Question 8.  Look at the radar echoes and Mesonet plots between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Does the Oklahoma City metropolitan face any danger? In addition, what do you think might be responsible for new echoes that appear in far western Oklahoma?

Answer. The far western side of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area was potentially in danger. Because most severe storms turn to the right, this storm might be expected to move to the west, missing the Oklahoma City area.

The storms that formed in far western Oklahoma developed along an outflow boundary from the severe storm complex in north-central Oklahoma. These storms should be similar to the ones that formed earlier since they are forming in a near identical environment.
