1. It's 8:00 am on Tuesday, February 28th. You are just getting into your EOC in Stephens County and haven't checked the weather lately. What is a good product for a broad overview of your hazards?

Answer.

  • There's no perfect product ... but may we suggest the OK-FIRST Weather Briefing Page!
    • It contains the zone forecast for your county, from your local WFO.
    • It has links to the Hazardous Weather Outlook (a great first read!) from your local WFO
    • It lists any ongoing watches or warnings
    • It gives a decent radar and Mesonet overview
    • If you want to get more comfortable with weather ... read one of the several discussion products available there!

The Bottom Line.

OK-FIRST Weather Briefing tries to bring together the most appropriate advice, discussion, advisories and data to start your shift. (Nice commercial, huh?)
