Question 5. According to the model, are litter and dried grass clippings relatively moist or relatively dry? Does this agree with your assessment of the recent weather?

Answer. The weather conditions across Oklahoma did not change much in the hour before this map time. Relative humidities in the western half of the state are below 50% while the highest relative humidity values are located in northeast and southeast Oklahoma. The 1-hour dead fuel moisture map indicates that the litter and dried grass clippings are quite dry where the relative humidity values are lower. In the areas where the relative humidity values are above 60%, the 1-hour dead fuel moisture values are somewhat greater. All areas in the state are subject to potential burning of 1-hour dead fuels.
