Question 7. 
  Take a minute to observe the output from the 3:00 pm runs of the OKFD Model for the dates of October 17-21. Focus on the Burning Index (BI). Take note of the changes from one afternoon to the next.


 
 
Answer. The Burning Index in the panhandle steadily decreases over the 5 day period. In southwest Oklahoma, the Burning Index increases from the 17th through the 18th; then it decreases from the 19th through the 21st.
