Overview

DESCRIPTION: Layer Composite Reflectivity is similar to Composite Reflectivity, except that it is the maximum reflectivity in a vertical column in a specified horizontal layer. Layer Composite Reflectivity was intended mostly for aviation purposes, but it is helpful to gauge the vertical structure and intensity of storms.
