1. Look at the upper-level winds from the morning of June 27, 1995 over the mid-Atlantic states. In what direction do you think thunderstorms would move based on this information? Does this sounding support the formation of thunderstorms?

2. Look at the morning sounding from Washington, DC (Dulles International Airport). Is moisture available for thunderstorms to form and propagate? If so, at what levels in the atmosphere? In addition, does this sounding look like it could support heavy rainfall? Why or Why not?
